She works in oil, pastel, pencil and watercolour and her subjects range widely but are largely based on observation of the impact of light on colour and form in the natural world. This has recently led to a new venture into abstract painting.

Clare has exhibited her work at the Ancient High House in Stafford in 2007, 2009 and 2013 and has had work in the Stafford Open Art, Keele Three Counties Exhibition and at Weston Park over the last 5 years. She also ran an exhibition of the work of service users from St George’s Hospital in 2008.

She provides private art tuition in her studio for experienced artists and complete beginners as well as running an art club at the local first school.

Clare belives passionately everyone can draw.
